Fresh glue only
For fiber hinges, use fresh CA. Aged glue thickens and won’t wick. Many builders keep a small new bottle just for hinges.
Drop-by-drop method
Drill a small hole in the slot to help capillary flow. Align with a pin, remove the pin, close the gap. Then add one drop at a time into the fiber until saturated—one hinge at a time. No accelerator: it makes hinges brittle.
After cure
After 10–15 minutes, gently work the surface: the surface film cracks at the center (normal), the hinge stays intact. Result: tight gap, better aero, less flutter risk.
